J&B Software to Present Webinar: Using your Mobile Phone for Remote Capture
J&B Software announced that it will be hosting a webinar on the payment processing industry's most exciting new development in RDC: using a mobile phone for remote deposit capture. The webinar will be held on Wednesday, March 4 at 2:00 PM Eastern Time and hosted by Product Principal (Remote Capture) Bhavik Patel and Account Executive Dave Ney of J&B Software.
This new capture and processing solution allows checks to be deposited from a mobile phone equipped with a camera. The webinar will feature a platform that combines J&B's robust backend workflow engine and Check 21 clearing capabilities with the capture technology on ImageNet Mobile Deposit™ powered by Mitek. In the fall of 2008, J&B Software, Inc. was the first transaction provider to integrate its solutions with ImageNet Mobile Deposit™ and offer the combined solution to its customer and prospect base.
There are currently 28 million potential end-users in the United States that have a camera equipped mobile phone, The solution can provide significant benefits by saving them time and travel expenses, expediting deposits, improving payment tracking, and more. For example, many financial advisors and brokers are required to deposit funds same day. By using a mobile phone for remote capture, they will have the ability to make that deposit without having to make a trip to their financial institution.
"We are very excited about the interest we've gotten so far regarding this solution as well as the large number of people that have already signed up for the March webinar," said Jim Wynn, Director of Marketing for J&B Software. "We definitely expect remote capture from a mobile phone to be a high growth area for J&B with a large number of applications and benefits for our customers and end-users," adds Wynn.
